Executions And Animal Food
May 12, 2010
Have you ever noticed how a society kills it’s animal food is also reflected in their methods of criminal execution?
For example, in Japan, the traditional method of execution was Hara-Kiri, which is to take a knife and gut one’s self while your head is chopped off. This is the same approach used to prepare fish.
In France where the traditional animal food was chickens and geese, the method of killing them was chopping of the heads at the neck like the guillotine.
And in America, where it is customary to hang animals people were hanged.
Do people create their form of execution because of what they eat?

Well, people shoot each other and then hunt with rifles. We swoop up fish in nets and let them die from lack of air. We have water boarded people, which is the same thing as drowning them, which is lack of air. Water boarding can very easily be done wrong and kill the person. We do not know if there were any accidents from that. And people murder through drowning, too. We do not drown animals for food. We also kill with lethal injection and electric chair. So far we have not killed animals with the electric chair, but we do use lethal injection for animals not killed for food. but for humane reasons.
also electrocution. electrocution of animals via factory farming ——-> electric chair
It’s a very interesting article. It kind of makes me think of a passage in One Peaceful World where your father writes about the invention of cars correlating to the advent of food being packaged in glass and cans.
