“Non-Credo” – Never give up your life and freedom to anyone…
In this day and age of mass media and pop culture we may be more susceptible to seductive offers to temporarily give up our lives for the promise of it’s improvement than ever before. The risk of doing so is nothing less than losing our lives as reported in this New York Times Article and in Associated Press video clip on YouTube:
The temptation to temporarily give our personal freedom and power for it’s improvement is not limited to New Age gurus, but includes and is diverse as Doctors, Religious Leaders, Political Leaders, Corporate Leaders and even those whom may appear to you as close friends and family. To be clear, I am not suggesting that you live in fear of these people. On the contrary, I am suggesting that you live by your own choices, principles and self-discoveries – such that you don’t have to live in fear of anyone or anything at all.
If there is any single most important lesson taught by Macrobiotic Educator, George Ohsawa, then it is the lesson of “non-credo” or “non-belief” which to me translates to never giving away your own personal freedom and power to think and choose to anyone else. Always be master of your own destiny. Listen to others but then make your own choices. In the end, your life and your destiny is in your own hands and its transformation is done through what YOU choose to put in your mouth, what YOU allow to come out of it and what actions YOU decide to take or not take.
And by all means…do not even blindly listen to me…

Hello from Russia!
Can I quote a post in your blog with the link to you?
Thank you.
We have, as societies, metamorphosed into scared beings whose directions in life must arise from others who “know better”, doctors, educators, governors. I have been eating healthy throughout my life, gone through Geroge Oshawa’s “biblical” diet and have rarely been to the doctor’s.
I just cannot stand how our food has been processed so badly that we, in turn, are processed alongside it and turning into processed people; with all sorts of health problems and mental as well.
It is also a shame that our greed for money – as governments – supersedes our will to advance our health as people, which is why speaking up against processed food would certainly lead to the loss of billions in pharmaceuticals and food industries that bank on people’s inability to choose what’s best for their physical and mental health.
Great article!
